How to Set Up FoxD Telegram Bot: Complete Beginner’s Guide
FoxD is a BSC trading bot that runs entirely inside Telegram. No browser extensions, no separate apps, no complicated DeFi interfaces. You open a chat, create a wallet, fund it, and start trading — all within the messaging app you already use every day. This guide walks you through every step from zero to your first trade, with tips for getting the most out of FoxD from day one.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- Telegram installed on your phone or desktop. FoxD works on both, though the mobile experience is optimized for quick trades on the go.
- BNB for trading. You will need BNB (BEP-20) to fund your FoxD wallet. If you do not already have BNB, you can purchase it on any major exchange (Binance, OKX, Bybit) and withdraw to a BSC address.
- Basic understanding of BSC tokens. You should know what a token contract address is and how decentralized exchange swaps work at a conceptual level. If you are entirely new to DeFi, spend 10 minutes reading about PancakeSwap before continuing.
Step 1: Open the FoxD Bot
Open Telegram and search for @foxd_trade_bot, or tap the link directly. You will see the bot’s welcome screen with a brief overview of its features. Tap “Start” to begin.
FoxD will greet you and display the main menu. The interface is built around inline buttons — you navigate by tapping, not by typing commands. This makes the experience intuitive even if you have never used a Telegram bot before.
Step 2: Create or Import a Wallet
FoxD needs a BSC wallet to trade on your behalf. You have two options:
Option A: Create a New Wallet
Tap “Create Wallet” and FoxD will generate a new BSC wallet for you. You will receive your wallet address and a recovery phrase (seed phrase). Write the recovery phrase down on paper and store it securely. Do not screenshot it, do not save it in a note-taking app, and do not share it with anyone. This phrase is the only way to recover your wallet if you lose access to your Telegram account.
Option B: Import an Existing Wallet
If you already have a BSC wallet you want to use, tap “Import Wallet” and enter your private key. FoxD encrypts your key locally and never exposes it in chat history. Importing is useful if you already hold tokens you want to manage through FoxD, or if you prefer to use a wallet you have already funded.
You can create multiple wallets within FoxD — for example, one for sniping, one for longer-term holds, and one for DCA strategies. Each wallet operates independently with its own balance and positions.
Step 3: Fund Your Wallet
Tap “Wallet” from the main menu to see your wallet address and current balance. Copy the address and send BNB (BEP-20) from any exchange or external wallet. Make sure you are sending on the BNB Smart Chain network, not Ethereum or another chain.
FoxD will detect the incoming deposit automatically and update your balance. BSC transfers typically confirm within 3 – 6 seconds, so the funds should appear almost immediately. We recommend starting with a small amount (0.1 – 0.5 BNB) to familiarize yourself with the bot before committing larger sums.
Step 4: Make Your First Trade
Now for the exciting part. There are two ways to initiate a trade:
Paste a Contract Address
If you already know which token you want to buy, simply paste its BSC contract address into the chat. FoxD will pull up the token’s details: name, symbol, price, market cap, liquidity, holder count, and a safety score. From there, tap “Buy” and select your buy amount.
Browse and Search
Tap “Explore” from the main menu to see trending tokens, recent launches, and top gainers on BSC. Each listing shows key metrics so you can quickly evaluate opportunities. Tap any token to open its detail view and trade.
When you execute a buy, FoxD shows you a confirmation screen with the estimated output, slippage, and gas cost. Confirm the trade and FoxD submits the transaction. You will receive a notification once the swap is confirmed on-chain, including the exact amount of tokens received and the effective price.
Step 5: Navigate the Bot Interface
FoxD’s main menu gives you access to everything:
- Portfolio: View all your current holdings with real-time P&L, entry prices, and current values. Tap any position to sell, set orders, or view detailed analytics.
- Sniper: Configure and activate token launch sniping. Set up target snipes (specific contract) or auto snipes (filter-based).
- Orders: View and manage all active smart orders — limit buys, stop-losses, take-profits, DCA schedules, and trailing stops.
- Wallet: Check balances, switch between wallets, view transaction history, and export your private key for backup.
- Settings: Configure default slippage, gas settings, notification preferences, Portfolio Guardian sensitivity, and auto-exit rules.
- AI Copilot: Describe a trading strategy in natural language and let FoxD’s AI configure the orders for you.
Step 6: Set Up Alerts
FoxD can notify you about price movements, whale transactions, and risk events for any token. To set an alert:
- Navigate to the token you want to monitor.
- Tap “Alerts.”
- Choose alert type: price above/below a threshold, percentage change, whale buy/sell, or liquidity change.
- Set your threshold and confirm.
You can set alerts on tokens you do not hold — useful for watching a token and waiting for a dip before entering. Alerts are delivered as Telegram push notifications, so you will see them even if you are not actively in the bot chat.
Step 7: Enable Portfolio Guardian
Portfolio Guardian is FoxD’s built-in rug-pull detection system. It monitors every token in your portfolio for suspicious activity — liquidity removals, honeypot activation, tax manipulation, and developer wallet movements. It is enabled by default, but you should review the settings:
- Go to Settings and tap “Portfolio Guardian.”
- Set alert sensitivity (high is recommended for beginners).
- Enable auto-exit if you want Guardian to automatically sell when critical threats are detected.
- Review the auto-exit conditions and adjust the loss threshold if needed.
Tips for Beginners
- Start small. Use minimal amounts until you are comfortable with the interface and understand how BSC trading works. You can always scale up later.
- Always set a stop-loss. Before entering any trade, decide how much you are willing to lose and set a stop-loss at that level. This single habit will save you more money than any strategy.
- Use the safety score. FoxD rates every token with a safety score based on contract analysis, liquidity, holder distribution, and more. Avoid tokens with low safety scores until you have enough experience to evaluate the risks yourself.
- Do not chase pumps. If a token has already gone 10x, the easy money has been made. Look for early opportunities using the Sniper and Explore features rather than buying into extended moves.
- Keep your recovery phrase safe. This cannot be overstated. If you lose your Telegram account and your recovery phrase, your funds are gone permanently.
- Join the community. FoxD’s Telegram group is a valuable resource for learning strategies, getting help with the bot, and staying informed about new features.
